Dr. Akin's cross-disciplinary research is centered on surface engineering and advanced multi-scale manufacturing. His work is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of surface manufacturing while driving innovation in advanced additive
manufacturing and rapid prototyping. His research has practical applications across various domains, encompassing 3D-printed electronics, smart films, electronic textiles, energy devices,and self-powered sensors.
